CHIROPRACTIC TECHNIQUES

Precise, gentle chiropractic care

Our chiropractic care is gentle, specific, and reproducible, using the most state-of-the-art technologies and techniques in the profession today.

TORQUE RELEASE TECHNIQUE (TRT)

Advantages of Torque Release chiropractic technique

TRT is the most up-to-date chiropractic technique in the profession today. It is a mixture of the ”best-of-the-best” systems of chiropractic assessment and treatment. It is the only chiropractic technique developed out of a randomized clinical trial, blinded with a placebo control. TRT locates and helps reduce vertebral subluxations, which are misalignments in the spine that cause interference in the nervous system and lead to a myriad of dysfunction and dis-ease. Doctor Druckenmiller will check your spinal column for areas where the nervous system is being damaged by subluxation and will deliver an adjustment using an instrument called the Integrator. This will stimulate your nervous system, release and reduce tension, and encourage your body to self-heal and self-regulate as nature intends.

THE INTEGRATOR ™

The Integrator™ is a torque and recoil release adjusting instrument that combines the best of existing chiropractic techniques and principles, quantum physics and the body/mind connection, creating the first integrated chiropractic system.

The Integrator™ reproduces the entire thrust and movement components of TOGGLE RECOIL, the classic Chiropractic Method of adjusting by hand.  This instrument moves at a speed of 1/10,000th of a second.  It is gentle enough for virtually all chiropractic patients.

WEBSTER TECHNIQUE

Chiropractic care during pregnancy

Chiropractic care in pregnancy is vital to the normal physiological function of both the mother and baby throughout pregnancy and birth. More women and birth providers are discovering the many benefits associated with chiropractic care in pregnancy and recognize this area of expertise through Webster Certification.

The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic sacral analysis and diversified adjustment. The goal of the adjustment is to reduce the effects of sacral subluxation/ SI joint dysfunction. In doing so, neuro-biomechanical function in the pelvis is facilitated.

Sacral subluxation may contribute to difficult labor for the mother (i.e., dystocia), caused by inadequate uterine function, pelvic contraction, and baby mal-presentation. Correction of sacral subluxation may have a positive effect on all of these causes of dystocia.

The International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) Webster Certification has become a familiar term in the pregnancy and birth conversation. It is a well-recognized and trusted name with both pregnant mothers and birth providers. Families are seeking out chiropractors who are proficient in this technique as a way to support a more comfortable, safer, and easier birth.

Dr. Druckenmiller recognizes that the care she provides to pregnant mothers affects the very well-being of the entire family. Dr. Druckenmiller is Webster Technique Certified by the ICPA and lives by their vision of “Chiropractic today for a better world tomorrow.”

PEDIATRIC-CENTERED TECHNIQUES

Infants and children benefit tremendously from regular chiropractic care. It is important to have your baby’s nervous system checked to determine if stress from the birth process caused any misalignments in the spine. Interference shows up differently in this age group, and often, its effects are brushed off as “typical childhood problems.” Chiropractors have successfully helped children with the following:

  • Ear infections
  • Colic
  • Acid reflux
  • Torticollis
  • Bedwetting
  • Respiratory difficulties
  • Asthma
  • Allergies
  • Learning disabilities
  • And many other problems

When assessing and adjusting infants and children, the chiropractor will adapt the analysis and techniques to meet their unique needs. Adjustments consist of light impulse, vibration, or sustained contact. The amount of pressure used is like a light touch—no more than that used to test fruit for ripeness.

Doctor Druckenmiller is specially trained by the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) in adjusting techniques designed for infants and children.
